Traveling Field Service Technician (FST)
Position Description: The Field Service Technician is Prolitec’s technical support resource in the South East Region (“Territory”) and as such is responsible for the performance of all Prolitec systems and services in the Territory.
The Field Service Technician is accountable for Prolitec service quality and reliability, the principal measure of which is up-time providing an ambient scent effect uniformly throughout the designated services areas of the Client Location. The Field Service Technician will perform onsite systems service duties as set forth below and, at the discretion of the Manager of Field Services.
Territory: 500-miles from Cincinnati, OH
Reports to VP of Customer Care
Peers: Field Service Engineers and Technicians in other regions
Collaborates with: Field Service Engineers, Customer Care, Operations, Sales Team
Support Equipment: Company vehicle, smartphone, iPad, service software (Salesforce and Field Service Lighting), service tools including ladder, site survey instruments, uniforms, ID card, and business cards. Company credit card for directly related business expenses.
Travel Requirements: 5 days a week by car, of which an average of 3 days will result in a hotel stay away from home. Occasional air travel outside of Territory for emergency, and to Milwaukee for training sessions.
Veterans' Preference: This position is part of Prolitec’s “Careers for Veterans” Program. Military service, and military training and experience in some engineering or technical area, will be an important consideration in the hiring decision.
Educational Requirements: Secondary school education with satisfactory grades, and post-secondary education or on the job training in a technical area which required craftsmanship, the use of tools, and the ability to assess situations is important. HVAC training is very helpful.
Training Resources: Online training course, in-person training in Milwaukee, and onsite ride-along training with Senior Field Service Engineers.

Your day to day
· Travel to client sites to install & service environmental fragrance systems that disperse fragrance into desired target areas.
· Follow up with customers receiving service to verify expectations are achieved.
· Interface with Customer Care personnel to coordinate shipment of replacement equipment when needed.
· Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment installed in client locations as required.
· Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on installed equipment as required.
· Perform onsite property survey and equipment specification as instructed in scope of work.
· Prepare, complete, and submit all technical paperwork per company guidelines
· Complete tasks as directed by installation & service schedules with minimum supervision.
Compensation:
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 DOE
Prolitec benefits program, including health insurance 66% paid.
Requirements: (Prolitec will train some of the skills)
· Proven field service experience
· Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service equipment
· English literacy
· Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
· Ability to climb ladders
· Commercial HVAC experience preferred
· Excellent communication and customer relation skills
· Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well with changing priorities
