Job Title: Copywriter

Location: Cleveland, OH 44113 (Remote to start)

Job Type: 3+ Months Contract

Hours: Will flex between 20-40 hours per week to start, potential to expand to full 40 hours/week depending on business need.



Job Overview:

This person will be helping with digital work, sometimes flow into print as needed. Main responsibilities will be designing layouts for emails with some overflow work static pins for Pinterest or Facebook, digital banners, pitch decks if needed. Will be working closely with copywriter, project manager, associate creative directors.



Job Responsibilities:

• Creates engaging content that is disseminated across various channels which may include print, television, digital, and/or social.


• Collaborate with Creative, Community and Brand teams to develop a variety of digital marketing materials


• Produce error-free content that adheres to the company's style guidelines


• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts


• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines


• Adhere to brand voice and tone documentation in order to write clear, grammatically correct copy with distinct voice


• Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders


• Edit and proofread copy


• Collaborate closely with SEO partners to maximize copy reach when needed

Qualifications/Skills:

• Demonstrated success in writing social or digital copy


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook


• Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronyms


• Solid understanding of SEO concepts preferred

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree


• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in creative writing, working within agency setting

Preferred backgrounds/soft skills:

• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred


• Collaborative, insightful, willingness to step up and make suggestions
