Currently, we are seeking individuals to fill a Hadoop Administrator opportunity in Cleveland, OH. This is a very exciting opportunity working with one of the top employers in the area. This opportunity is open to 100% remote !

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the Hadoop upgrade from HDP (Hortonworks Data Platform) 2.65 to CDP (Cloudera Data Platform) 7.1.x
• Test and validate that existing functionality continues to work as expected

Required skills:
• Hadoop administration (any of the recent versions)
• Cloudera Distribution experience (any version)
• RHEL 7.x Linux OS
• Previous experience upgrading Cloudera Hadoop (from one version to another) in an enterprise environment

Preferred skills:
• Hadoop administration on CDP version 7.x
• Splunk monitoring
• Back-up & Disaster Recovery (BDR)
• Ansible
