POSITION SUMMARYThe HR & Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing all functions and duties related to payroll and administration of the HRIS system, including employee transactions, payroll processing, withholding deductions, and employment verifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Functions Statement(s): Prepares semi-monthly and Bi-weekly payroll for 750+ Hourly and Salaried employees using UltiPro payroll system. Processing and set up of: New Hires, terminations, employee transfers, commissions, bonuses, garnishments, benefit deductions, 401(k) deductions, leaves of absence and all other relevant changes that occur during payroll processing. Prepares general ledger entries related to payroll for Timberline and Yardi accounting software. Responsible for booking entries on pay date. Uploads 401(k) payroll data to external 401(k) administrator. Time & Attendance administration through UltiPro. Administration of employee accrual balances for paid-time off. Administration of payroll in 13+ states across the country. Responsible for payroll processing reports including payroll detail report and summary payroll register. Prepares construction job cost entries for monthly payroll expenses to allocated job codes in Timberline Accounting Software. Preparation and administration of annual compensation and bonus review reports. Manages external reporting requests including audits, payroll budgeting, EEO-1 survey, workers’ compensation, etc. Responsible for coding and processing invoices for the Human Resources department. Responsible for completing written and verbal employment verifications. Maintains employee files including Form I-9, Identification, Employee Changes Notice, etc. Set up new state and local tax jurisdictions. Prepares and mails termination and benefit continuation documents. Responsible for all initial unemployment claims. Distribute departmental mail, scanning, organization of folders and drives as well as administratively handling FMLA paperwork. SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience.Experience: 3+ years of experience in Payroll or Accounting field.Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Experience with payroll processing systems and working knowledge of Time and Attendance systems (UltiPro preferred)Driver’s License Required: NoOther Requirements: NoneID: 2019-1881 Street: 1228 Euclid Avenue
