Are you a Data Engineer looking for a change? Do you want to work with cutting edge technology for an established Fortune 500 company on a fully remote basis? Our client is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to help develop, maintain, and enhance the capabilities of their data platform on an extendable, contract basis. You will interact directly with internal data customers across different areas of Business and IT to help them minimize the time from idea inception to analytical insight. The ideal candidate will have experience with mutliple programming languages used in analytics and data science (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, knowledge of AWS infrastructure, and experience utilizing data pipeline orchestration frameworks). This would be a remote position, but would generally follow an EST schedule.

Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in designing, building, and supporting complex data pipelines using a variety of traditional and non-traditional data sources.
- Version Control and associated best practices
- Advanced programming experience in programming languages used in analytics and data science (e.g. Python, Java, Scala). Comfortable with Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with Cloud-based infrastructures (AWS)
- Experience working with SQL/NoSQL
- Experience utilizing data pipeline orchestration frameworks.
