How You’ll Make an Impact As an engineer at BoxCast, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining products, features, and services. The Broadcaster Applications (BX) team builds the applications used by thousands of broadcasters to help delight their viewers, as well as the video experience for millions of viewers. You'll work alongside talented UI/UX designers, while flexing your iOS/iPadOS/tvOS development muscles to build great experiences on web, mobile and TV.
What You’ll Do Your expected contributions in various areas will depend on your level, and you'll be trained and mentored in areas that need development. We expect all engineers to passionately and relentlessly sharpen multiple skills.
Work with our product owners, developers, and UI/UX team to build world class mobile applications and experiences.
Maintain expertise in relevant languages and technologies. The BX team is responsible for web applications (AngularJS, Vue.js), the embedded video player (React), our iOS app (Swift), and TV apps (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV). You are not required to be proficient in all tech stacks, but a willingness to flex and learn is valuable!
Contribute to designing and building ideal customer journeys and UX with your technical contribution including an ability to understand how individual features and changes impact the overall product offering strategy
Achieve excellent project execution results by actively participating in sprint planning, kickoff, and review meetings
Stay informed of emerging technologies and evaluate their value to the organization’s operations
Mentor technical colleagues in your specific areas of technical strength and learn from technical colleagues that exhibit superior strength in technical areas you may have knowledge gaps
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of product designers, software engineers, hardware engineers, and business leaders
Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack features, services, and microservices primarily on AWS (Amazon Web Services) ECS (Elastic Container Service).

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience
4+ years of professional experience
Experience with Native iOS development, or TV application development.
Experience with AngularJS, Vue.js, React, and/or React Native
Experience working in an agile environment
High attention to detail and process
Nice to Haves:
Understanding of the live streaming ecosystem, with specific expertise in HLS, RTMP, RTP, and/or WebRTC
Experience with AWS or a related cloud service
Experience with Go or exposure to microservice architectures
