OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment; gear and sprocket drives, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, loading systems, production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
PAY RATE
The pay range for this position is $26-36/hour and will be determined based on the selected candidate\'s experience.

3rd shift (10:30pm - 7:00am)

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs routine facility maintenance as assigned.
Performs PM tasks as assigned
Observes and troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation byadjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, as well as repairing/replacing defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Responsible for aiding in startup process to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Contains a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in resolving issues and fostering Continuous Improvement.
All other duties as assigned
WORK EXPERIENCES
1-3 years maintenance experience required, preferably within a food manufacturing facility
3-5 years maintenance experience preferred, preferably within a food manufacturing facility
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in manufacturing.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Associate\'s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The position will plan and control all purchasing activities supporting assigned vendors. They will balance purchase and inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with customer service levels, inventory turns goals and capacity utilization.
This position exists to assist Sales, Marketing, Materials/Purchasing Management, Operations, Supply Chain and the Technical group in managing the product lifecycle process. This includes the introduction of new products to market, forecasting the quantity and timing of demand for current products and disposition of existing discontinued products.
The position is responsible for continuously improving the accuracy of the forecasts of the demand for finished goods in order to improve customer satisfaction, sales, profitability and overall supply chain effectiveness.
The position will develop feasible weekly bucketed purchasing schedules by sku to vendor and work to install and measure a compliance metric to measure performance. They will also coordinate toll filling requirements with plants, customer service and suppliers.
This role will execute product life cycle management and lead Lean, Continuous Improvement Projects and Sales and Operational Planning reviews supporting assigned brands/customers.
This role will analyze, develop, and test programs and user interfaces required for implementations or enhancements for our Supply Chain systems. They are responsible for troubleshooting any system issues and working with users to gather requirements for new functionality and model enhancements.
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
Bachelor\'s degree or 4 years experience
Preferred:
Bachelor\'s degree in a Supply Chain related field
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
2-3 years experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Manufacturing or Customer Service.
Preferred:
APICS CPIM Certification

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:

About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician III, you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team in by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building
Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used
Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Operations facility
Develop training plans for service technicians
Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls
5+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics
5+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance
5 + years of experience reading blueprints and schematics
5 + years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs
3+ years of work order management
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
Previous leadership experience
Previous vendor management experience
Experience with robotic maintenance
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment
Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required PPE, which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment
Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day
Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day
