Join our team!The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland seeks to engage a Mechanical Engineering student as a Summer Intern to work in the Real Estate Services Group (RESG). The successful candidate will perform engineering support and documentation services on multi-discipline commercial architectural and infrastructure projects of moderate to large scope. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform various aspects of engineering support as directed by the RESG Manager of Planning, Design, and Construction: including programming, conceptual design, analysis, and calculations
Prepare and/or coordinate programming, schematic design, design development, and construction documents, as directed
Review and consult on 3rdparty consultants’ work (architects and engineers), including design, construction documents, and specifications
Perform LEED and/or Energy Star analysis
Perform and/or participate in building code review and analysis
Organize and coordinate record drawings and documents to support department requirements
Coordinate and communicate with design team members to ensure the engineering design details integrate properly with the work of other project disciplines and support building standards
Prepare presentation materials, as directed
Perform various duties associated with the bidding process, including preparation of addenda, bulletins, and amendments, and tabulating bid evaluations, as directed
Perform various services associated with the construction phase, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings, as directed
Comply with quality control policies and procedures
Implement and continuously improve Bank materials, methods, and construction standards
Participate in team meetings and coordinate efforts with other team members
Work with, respond to, and take direction from the RESG Planning, Design, and Construction team
Monitor/track project budgets and schedules
Work with a professional team of architects and engineers (internal and external)External Qualifications:
Students currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum GPA of 3.0 and will be at least a junior in standing
Strong writing and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and have ability to multitask
