This position is focused on the preparation of seasonal, composed, and plated menu items and is open to culinary professionals with a passion for food. Applicants must have their own knives, reliable transportation, and two years of upscale/fine dining work experience.
Responsibilities
• Follow all cooking techniques and recipes as instructed by Chefs and Sous Chefs
• Follow all food handling and safety guidelines as specified by the restaurant’s Chefs and by the Cuyahoga County Board of Health
• Set up your station and prepare food according to Specifications
• Work in and maintain a clean work area
• Report to the General Manager, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs and work equally with the culinary team
Requirements
• Demonstrate a solid knowledge of all Lola menu items
• The ability to follow all standard recipes, food preparation and cooking techniques
• Ability to work quickly and cleanly while preparing properly cooked and visually appealing food
• Ability to work closely with fellow employees in a professional manner
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm composure and a friendly demeanor
• Must maintain personnel hygiene in accordance to the Cuyahoga County Board of Health standards for food service employees
• Understand how to use and maintain all kitchen equipment
• The ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for long periods of time
• Come to work on time and with a positive attitude every shift
• Following all policies and procedures as listed in the Lola Employee Manual
• High school diploma and food safety training will be considered a plus
All Line Cooks will undergo a 5-day training period after which they will function under a 60-day probationary work period. Successful completion of training is dependent on performance approval of the restaurant’s Executive Chef.
