JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Supports the marketing and sales departments by facilitating internal and external collaboration and by assisting with the planning and execution of campaigns and programs. With responsibilities ranging from purchasing promotional items to booking venues and speakers for special events, the Marketing Coordinator brings strong attention to detail and organization to all projects. The Marketing Coordinator enables clear communication and fosters a dealership-wide culture of teamwork, serving as the point of contact between the marketing, sales, rental, product support and executive leadership teams. The Marketing Coordinator also manages relationships with the Creative Services group to adhere to the dealership's brand and standards.

COMPETENCIES LIST AND DESCRIBE:

Own all aspects of planning and coordinating meetings and special events hosted by the dealership for customers, leads and internal teams while working directly with the Event Manager.

Use exceptional project management skills to execute campaigns and programs, assist with event planning and assign responsibilities to teams of advertisers and coordinators to maximize performance and efficiency.

Support the Marketing Manager, marketing team, sales teams and other departments by assisting with marketing efforts from strategic development to execution to analysis, ensuring they have the marketing materials and support they need.

Assist designers, writers and creative agencies with concept development, content creation/copywriting and editing for both digital and print communications.

Create and manage the dealership's content calendar (for their respective business segment), working with internal teams to keep it up to date and verify that milestones are met.

Use digital marketing tools to schedule content for social media sites, and coordinate with internal teams to respond to discussions promptly within brand guidelines.

Facilitate communication between the marketing, advertising, sales, rental, product support and executive leadership teams, serving as the main point of contact to align content production with sales funnel needs and boost growth strategies.

Communicate with customers to understand their needs and purchasing behaviors and use that intelligence to help the marketing department develop promotional strategies.

Bolster the dealership's marketing and advertising efforts by selecting and ordering promotional items that are on brand, complement marketing strategies and attract interest from customers and leads.

Develop relationships with Caterpillar counterparts to align on communication strategies and marketing goals.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related business study is required.

Three years of progressive experience in marketing or creative functions is required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Ability to read, interpret and explain documents such as financial reports, legal and service agreements and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and effective correspondence for internal and external audiences.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Excellent skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship building.

Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Strong data analysis and visualization skills.

Ability to relate to all levels of employees and be a team player who motivates and educates other team members.

Ability to set and manage priorities for individual responsibilities and tasks.

Ability to travel across the territory to visit customers and branches is required. Some out-of-region travel may be required (up to 25%).
