We are currently looking for a Tool Room Apprentice interested in a developing a career as a Die Maker/Die Repair and Troubleshooting Expert Candidate must be willing to learn, have some mechanical aptitude, be highly organized and pay meticulous attention to detail. This is full time position with benefits, including 401K. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two year technical degree, machine trade school or formal job training is helpful, some experience preferred but not required. Blueprint Reading, machining knowledge for milling, drilling, surface grinding, measuring equipment and CNC a plus but not mandatory as we are willing to provide ongoing training for the right applicant.
Skills you will have the opportunity to learn:
use of all basic tool room equipment: drill press, surface grinders, milling machines, lathe and saws
use of measuring equipment: calipers, micrometers, height stands, optical comparator
use of advanced tool room equipment: cnc mill, vertical machine center, wire edm machines, vertical machine center
sharpening of die sections and punches in progressive dies
make new inserts for progressive dies
understanding of stamping dies
troubleshooting of stamping dies and other tooling
