Department: College of NursingSummary of Duties:Serves as Research Regulatory Coordinator for faculty, research staff, and student researchers at the CON. Provides assistance to faculty, research staff and students on Institutional Review Board (IRB) application process, protocol and consent form development as it relates to human subject, data, and specimen research; functions as the CON representative for IRB full board review research projects; acts as liaison to Office of Responsible Research Practices (ORRP) for the status of research applications, modification requests, and study reports; develops resources for faculty, staff, and students on ORRP policies regarding research protocol guidelines; develops research regulatory binders for individual studies; serves as the CON Clinicaltrials.gov administrator for all research projects required to be registered; designs and maintains a centralized data management system for HIPAA and other research regulatory compliance data; conducts and administers a research regulatory audit program for CON studies. May assist with research grant and project tracking data management system, perform literature searches and summaries; coordinate pertinent research activities with other university educational and research functions; evaluate the possibility and feasibility of alternative funding agencies and recommend to project management potential sources of financial support.Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in an appropriate social science required; IRB application experience required.Desired Qualifications:Prior experience in research regulatory position is preferred;Target Salary: $54,000.00 - $60,000.00 AnnuallyJob Category: Administrative and ProfessionalJob Appointment (FTE%):100.0The Ohio State University is an equal opportunity employer.
