The DevSecOps Manager will be responsible for the company’s DevSecOps team. This manager will lead a team of full-time associates, driving team and individual objectives. This role will be responsible for standardizing corporate DevOps practices and tooling and serve as a conduit between App Development and infrastructure teams. They will work with their director to further develop a DevSecOps roadmap and be responsible for executing on that roadmap. This position plays a key role in the modernization of infrastructure, and this individual should have the ability to speak to abstract strategic concepts as well as technical, tactical details.

Responsibilities
  • Manages the DevSecOps team
  • Responsible for staff/employee administration (staffing recommendations, performance reviews, coaching and counseling, work assignments, training, resource planning, etc.).
  • Manages/oversees project related activities associated with his/her functional responsibilities. Encompasses working with project managers, as well as self-management of less complex project activities in accordance with established project management processes and procedures.
  • Serve as a conduit between app development and infrastructure teams, driving awareness of requirements and capabilities.
  • Evaluates and recommends technology solutions; participates in decisions regarding purchase and selection, in-house development and modification, assessment and implementation.
  • Work with IT Infrastructure teams to ensure supportability, maintainability, and uptime of applications.
  • Oversee support of key development tools and support.
  • Drive team oversight of code management platforms, maintaining consistent structure, maintaining / monitoring pipeline processes.
  • Provide direction on deeper integration of code analysis, quality analysis, and scanning processes.
  • Work with AppDev architects on POCs and testing new solutions.
  • Work with App Development teams on adopting modern solutions and frameworks including adoption of containerization.
  • Work with security team to ensure appropriate policies are in place and enforced.
  • Work with App Development teams to remediate application vulnerabilities.
  • Track application / code frameworks and ensure they remain up to date, work with app development teams to update and avoid usage of EOL components.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent, pertinent work experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in a technical support area.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in supervision with proven administrative responsibility
Professional Certification(s):
  • ITILv3 preferred
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA preferred

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally on availability/performance issues to identify root-cause, determine areas for improvement, and drive those actions to closure through continuous improvements.
  • Experience managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion.
  • Experience overseeing DevOps processes and driving modernization and improvements.
  • Experience implementing and automating deployment of new infrastructure platforms and services.
  • Experience suggesting competitive and innovative technical decisions, obtaining client buy-in and delivering on commitments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills with proven ability to grow and lead a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
  • Able to communicate a compelling vision and need for change that generates excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the process.
  • Demonstrates strategic and critical thinking capability.
  • Interacts with others, internally and externally, in a way that gives them confidence in their intentions and those of the organization.
  • Has strong planning, communication and presentation skills, and the capability to listen and influence.
