IT Support Specialist

We are open to considering contract-to-hire as well as direct permanent hire for this role.
  • Provide

    in-person

    and virtual IT Support and issue triaging
  • Providing Desktop / Laptop support for Windows OS and Mac OS platforms, & Integrations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all support issues related to Windows, / MS Office suite of applications and their integration to external Enterprise applications
  • Manage administration, installation, and troubleshooting of corporate hardware, software, and services
  • Rebuild and image laptops and desktops for redeployment.
  • Setting up physical workstations at remote locations including Desktops, Laptops, Docking Stations, Monitors.
  • Contribute to the employee onboarding and offboarding process
  • Work with Office/People Ops on facilities-related system issues
  • Multitask and contribute to multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain documentation of hardware, systems, software, and licensing
  • Recommend improvements and enhancements to existing systems
  • Lead technical on-site project for installations and upgrades of infrastructure
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day Jira help desk issues and able to escalate

Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in

    End-User Computing and Desktop Support.
  • Knowledge of setup and support for workstations and laptops with emphasis on PC and Mac
  • Familiarity with workstation remote management software.
  • Familiarity with the networked environment with the ability to troubleshoot complex workstation and printer connectivity issues.
  • Ability to promote good cybersecurity practices within the organization and monitor adherence to cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls.
  • Ability to guide the staff through complex device troubleshooting for Level 1 and Level 2 support
  • Experience with technologies such as OS Imaging, GPOs, DHCP, DNS, and a basic understanding of network, security, and device troubleshooting
  • Extensive understanding of Windows OS
  • Extensive understanding of MacOS
  • Ability to work and achieve goals without frequent supervision
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft core technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL, Sharepointetc)
  • Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) a plus
  • Experience with PowerShell or batch scripting a plus
  • Experience with Firewalls, Routing, VPN
  • Linux experience a plus
