Information Technology (IT) Project Manager Job Duties:
Accomplishes the building, innovation, optimizing, maintenance, and delivery of information systems via planning, collaboration, coordination, and monitoring project team results.
Collaborates with business program owners to clarity their mission, vision, business needs, and operational needs.
Exercises exceptional communication, relationship management skills and partnership with the business relationship manager, business customer, and project team members.
Coordinates the strategic planning, requirements gathering, architecture, risk management, information security management, design, building, validation, and deployment of systems.
Coordinates the building of project plans (WBS) and the monitoring of the execution of the project plan.
Utilizes both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Coordinates exceptional identification, monitoring, and resolution of risks and issues.
Assists with financial objectives via planning and monitoring expenditures.
Coordinates the quality of delivered products via organizational standards and best practices.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
REQUIRED Skills and Experience:
Six (6) years of experience as a senior project manager in software development;
WBS
PMP preferred
must have portfolio management
Four (4) years of experience in planning and delivering large, complex software systems that involve online-screens, databases, batch processing, and file sharing across systems;
Two years (2) experience facilitating JAD sessions to gather and define requirements;
Skilled in project management and portfolio management applications and tools i.e. Workbench, Clarity, Microsoft project;
Skilled in using Microsoft Office products for analysis, planning, and presentation.
