RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a fast growing, technology focused company is looking to add Technical Support with Windows expertise to their local team in Columbus, OH. Applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and must be able to work CT/EST hours.

Summary:
The fully remote Windows Technical Support Engineer provides inbound technical support for our client's products via telephone, email, and remote sessions, which may require careful examination of many infrastructures and other environmental variables, as well as a detailed analysis of log files. This highly technical support role requires deep analytical troubleshooting of complex technical problems. This position is not a traditional call center-based customer service role.

In this Technical Support role, you will:
Technical Support will provide technical support and troubleshooting for our client's customers via telephone, email, and web conferencing
Proactively stay up to date with all the latest technologies concerning our client's products and the underlying technologies
Research and troubleshoot customer problems and inquiries
Technical Support updates and work assigned cases in a timely manner
Maintain strong customer rapport and excellent, timely communication
Technical Support will contribute to documentation to build our client's knowledge base

REQUIREMENTS:
Possess excellent customer service skills and a desire to advance their technical skills in a dynamic cloud environment
Creativity and perseverance for solving problems
Technical Support needs proven track record of high customer satisfaction ratings in customer or technical service role
Strong written and oral communication skills
Collaborate in our work environment for team success
Encouragement during stressful times for yourself and to peers
Advanced use of administrator-level tasks with the following; Windows OS 2008(r2)/2012(r2)/2016/2019
Good understanding of Active Directory
Deep understanding of the OSI model and practical knowledge of TCP/IP (firewalls configuration, NAT, connectivity troubleshooting)
Previous experience or good understanding of virtualization technologies; VMware ESX(i), MicrosoftHyper-V

Following experience would be considered as a plus:
PowerShell scripting
SAN administration
Database engine/Microsoft SQL
Deep log analysis
Wireshark (tcpdump)
Application performance analysis (sysinternals, windbg)
Microsoft Exchange server administration
