This is a right-to-hire position with our client.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 12+ years of project management experience in SDLC methodologies (waterfall, agile,
SCRUM), working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix
environment. Must have had worked on 2 or more projects for minimum of 3+ years for each project.
  • 8-years of experience managing complex multi-year web-based projects involving vendor
professional services delivering a government solution.
  • Experience managing state, federal, or local government projects is required.
  • Direct experience managing fixed-price, deliverable-based, contracted projects with
multiple workstreams.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up,
across, and down multiple business, and technology organizations.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change, and competing demands.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills in managing high profile projects and project teams with
excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Proven ability to work creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment
demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project, and program team sizes,
including internal, and external resources, while holding team accountable for
performance.


Desired Skills and Experience:
  • A certification in Project Management is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. (A major in Engineering,
Computer Science, Information System Management, Mathematics, or a related field
preferred but not required.)

Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced

Sr. Project Manager with state government experience who will work for us as a direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee, working for our client to manage a series of high-profile, significant programs. You will:
  • Work for the client’s program office, which is responsible for the successful delivery
of the client’s business solution ensuring project plans strictly adhere to scheduled
deadlines minimizing resource constraints across multiple project dependencies in the
portfolio.
  • Create project plans (schedules), setting and balancing priorities in managing multiple milestones, and managing deliverables for internal and external entities
  • Provide leadership in managing all aspects of multiple related projects supporting the
alignment with the goals and strategic objectives of the program.
  • Proactively identify issues and risks, providing mitigation strategies, minimizing impact
on related projects and driving resolutions with appropriate delegations and actions
  • Demonstrate flexibility with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands,
and timelines through analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Provide exemplary communication and presentations to executive sponsors and
program managers
