Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced

UI/Front End Software Engineer to work as a direct-hire, full-time employee for our client. Our client has a warm, friendly, and kind culture. It’s well known as a third-party insurance claims processor and mobile automotive vehicle parts supplier. Qualified and/or candidates will:

• Work remotely four days per week and one day per week in the client’s easy-to-access office in Dublin (Columbus, OH).
• Demonstrate understanding of application technical design, data models, and data structures
• Demonstrate understanding of the role of developers within Agile software development
• Participate in the task estimation and design creation & decomposition sessions.
• Deliver high quality software that adheres to best practices enabling maintainable and extensible applications.
• Participate in root cause analysis of issues related to the application and technology stack.
• Participate in self-learning in broader technologies and practices relevant to the application domain.
• Demonstrate familiarity with the change control process and tool sets for automation of deployment and testing processes.
• Have a clear understanding of how technology/applications support the business and their processes
• Understand and ensure security guidelines, compliance and other business standards are followed to support the application.
• Understand directions and ask appropriate clarification questions. Communicates assumptions and begins to identify potential roadblocks.
• Perform production support or on call support tasks.
• Possess the communications skills that can be utilized to effectively collaborate with a team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Able to work remotely four days per week and one day per week in the client’s Dublin, OH office.
• Minimum of three professional years as a UI/Front End Software Engineer
• Strong foundation and understanding of modern front-end technologies
• Experience working with CSS preprocessing
• Strong understanding of client-side JavaScript technologies
• Functional knowledge of client-side and server-side JavaScript technologies
• Experience with API-driven microservices
• Understand how to work with modern frameworks and libraries such as VueJS (which is a plus), ReactJS, and others.
• Communication skills that are strong enough to collaborate with the team, understand directions, and ask appropriate clarification questions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Understanding of the following:
  • Application technical design, data models, and data structures
  • Role of the developer in an Agile team
  • Change control process
  • Automation of deployment and testing processes
  • How technology supports the business
