Short North Piece of Cake is hiring a PT Baker and we would like to have you as part of our team! We love providing Columbus with top notch Wedding and Specialty cakes, as well as pies, tarts, muffins and an ever evolving diverse menu. Duties:
Preparation of our recipes, mixing, and baking according to our procedures.
Handling perishable foods; must know how to safely store and prep all ingredients.
Ensure that products are baked at the proper temperatures and make certain that kitchen and baking equipment adheres to sanitation regulations.
Bakers must be familiar with the use of commercial mixing machines, ovens, and other large-scale baking equipment.
Scale ingredients following a recipe.
Observe products as they bake and adjust temperature/times accordingly.

Requirements:
Previous experience required
Must possess strong organizational ability
High energy positive person who is able to work with a diverse group of people
Ability to follow a production schedule and to prioritize tasks
Good communication and organizational skills, excellent math skills
Ability to take direction and follow directions and recipes
Ability to work well and communicate with others as a part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good Time management skills
Position requires working on feet all day and moderate (less than 50 pounds) lifting and carrying from time to time
Pay commensurate with experience. After training is complete, work days are Saturday, Sunday & Monday.
