Pioneer College Caterers is a values-based company searching for a consummate professional to join our team as AM Kitchen Manager on the beautiful campus of Cedarville University, a conservative, faith-based university with expectations of excellence.
We are seeking an energetic food service professional, with five or more yearsâ experience in quantity foods preparation and cooking. Must be a hands-on leader in the kitchen, willing to interact with the guests out front.

Position overview:
⢠Work under the direction of the Executive Chef
⢠College/University food preparation experience preferred. Will consider High Volume Buffet Restaurant or large catering company experience.
⢠Oversee the completion of all daily prep work and evening meal production
⢠Responsible for managing food cost to budget by:
â Managing inventory levels to established pars
â Placing all food and supplies orders using company planning process
â Eliminating unnecessary waste throughout the kitchen in all areas.
â Safe utilization of leftover products
⢠Must lead and train kitchen staff to achieve results desired
⢠Batch cooking of quantity foods skills essential
⢠Ensure all safe-food handling standards from receiving to serving are followed-HACCP experience desired.
⢠All food leaving kitchen must meet company Minimum Presentation Standards
⢠Must demonstrate skills and knowledge at a culinary audition
⢠Must pass background check
⢠Example schedule is 5:00am â 3:30pm Sunday -Thursday. Many weeks will include Friday/Saturday off.
