Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Location: Columbus, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our company-owned apartment buildings in Columbus are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join and grow our team! Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all physical aspects of the apartment’s community, coordinating and performing maintenance and repair services, ensuring curb appeal and quality of apartment homes, responding to customer service requests, and adhering to all safety policies.
Maintenance Supervisor Essential Functions
· Complete resident service requests and prepare units for new residents.
· Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
· Prepare daily maintenance schedules and allocate work
· Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance technicians
· Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers, etc.)
· Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.)
· Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
· Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
· Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
· Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Maintenance Supervisor Requirements
· Proficient in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC
· Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
· Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.)
· Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
· Understanding of budgeting and performance management
· Excellent planning and leadership abilities
· An eye for detail
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Exceptional customer service standards
· Positive Attitude
Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications
· Education – High school diploma or equivalent; CFC Universal Certification
· HVAC Certified - Preferred
· Experience – At least 2+ years of experience of maintenance and repair for apartment communities
· Other Requirements – Valid driver’s license; Own tools and reliable transportation to travel between communities (truck preferred). Communities are within three miles of each other.

· Monday – Friday 9:00 – 5:30
· Occasional Saturdays
· On call rotation
