Plan and execute evidence-based programs weekly that enhance academic performance; expose teens to post-secondary opportunities and build life and social skills. Plan and implement career exposure opportunities as part of weekly programming - get speakers, schedule field trips and creatively present vocational opportunities. Plan and implement activities to boost student's life skills in areas of financial literacy, substance abuse prevention and leadership development. Provide consistent oversight and supervision to ensure program integrity. Serve as a mentor, positive role model and motivator to students and their families; staff and external stakeholders. Serves to engage teens to stay with the program for multiple years. Gather and analyze program data. Prepare detailed summary reports monthly. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Applicants must be highly energetic, with physical mobility, organized and possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology or social work or a minimum of four (4) years of experience working with youth. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively. Applicants must have the confidence and ability to develop programs for youths and families. He/she must be committed to personal growth as well as dedicated to helping young people build on existing assets and make positive choices about their health and well-being, academic achievement and interaction with others. Ability to travel and work flexible hours including Saturdays and evenings required. Access to a vehicle with insurance and valid Ohio Driver’s License required. All applicants must be a US citizen or posses a valid US working visa. Applicants will be required to complete a BCI/FBI background check.
