Sales Assistant

My Service Depot is a rapidly expanding Columbus based software company looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to add to our sales team. Our ideal candidate is a self-driven, business savvy individual who is absolutely terrific over the phone. A great personality and confidence when speaking on the phone is a must.

Our sales are primarily driven by inbound requests for software demonstrations, which are then distributed to the sales team. Some of the responsibilities of the Sales Assistant role are:

- Become a product expert. Learn our different products and be able to communicate our products features and

benefits clearly and confidently.

- Become a customer expert. Learn our customer, becoming familiar with the different industries we work with,

their processes and operations.

- Take inbound sales inquiries and make outbound calls in response to web requests with the goal of scheduling

demonstrations for our Sales Consultants.

- Make outbound follow up calls to prospects pre and post demonstration.

- Make outbound phone calls following up on new clients.

- Enter in prospect information, notes and manage follow ups with our internal customer management program.

- Research companies on the web to provide supplemental information on prospective business.

- Take calls from/making calls to existing clients providing information about new products and offerings.

- Take orders for additional products and services from existing clients.

Required Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet search engines

- Effective written and oral communication skills

- Great organizational skills

- High School Diploma

Desired Qualifications:

- Prior phone sales experience &/or customer service experience in a B2B setting is a plus. We will train the right

person.

- Experience working for or with service businesses like HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical is also a plus.

- Associates or bachelors in business administration or commensurate experience in business operations would

also be a plus.

The role of Sales Assistant is a full time, entry level sales position with the ultimate goal of quickly moving into a full Sales Consultant position.
