JOB DESCRIPTION
Segment Risk Specialist Sr. - 3 months to Hire

The Segment Risk Management Specialist Senior will work with Senior Risk Managers in the administration, development, implementation and maintenance of the corporate risk management program associated with risk register accuracy and risk management data integrity. The role will execute control evaluation and substantiation of internal and SOX controls. This position will report to the Risk Assessment Center of Excellence (COE) supporting the Technology & Operations segments consisting of Technology & Conversions, Information Security, and Data Management.

Detailed Description:

  • Execute control evaluation and substantiation for internal and SOX technology controls.
  • Participate in the identification and analysis of risks
  • Participate in the proposal and testing of controls introduced to mitigate risk
  • Aids in the performance of risk and control self-assessments
  • Able to articulate both inherent and residual risk and communicate control requirements
  • May provide counsel on common methods to address gaps and execute controls
  • May assist in the development and execution of enterprise risk management programs
  • Develop business and technology team knowledge to better understand processes, metrics, and required controls
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with risk partners through continuous and proactive communications.
  • Oversight management & support for operational loss and near miss reporting.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. Four additional years of operations, audit or risk related experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Min 3-6 years of experience in an operations, audit or risk related area.

  • Problem Solving and Critical thinking with strong focus on detail
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills
  • Ability to Identify root cause and proper solution
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment, manage projects
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office skills
  • Familiarity with SOX testing highly desirable
  • Risk certification (CISSP, CISA or CRISC) preferred
  • Experience with Archer Technologies Enterprise Risk and Compliance Management Solution and/or Service Now Governance, Risk, & Compliance module preferred
