The EA-M365 serves as a is a trusted advisor with extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 functionality and best practices who provides expert guidance on the implementation and use of Microsoft 365 solutions and features.
The ideal candidate for this role has an extensive working knowledge of Microsoft 365’s capabilities, it’s deployment within the organization, and the organization’s business needs, standards, policies, and tools.
The EA-M365 provides guidance on the architecture, configuration, integration, and support of Microsoft 365 and demonstrates expertise in Microsoft 365 governance, tenant change management, adoption, and training.
This includes leading the definition of Microsoft 365 governance and coordinating the activities of the organization’s Microsoft 365 governance/steering committee
Key Job Responsibilities:
Maintains a deep technical understanding of all aspects of the organization’s Microsoft 365 implementation
Includes 3rd party or Microsoft tools used in conjunction with Microsoft 365
Leads the ongoing development and implementation of the organization’s Microsoft 365 strategy
Ensures the ongoing deployment and use of Microsoft 365 aligns with the organization’s standards, policies, and compliance requirements
Evaluates Microsoft 365 changes & updates and reports on impact to the organization
Leads technical projects related to Microsoft 365
Collaborates with and provides direction to Microsoft 365 technical leads and support resources
Participates in troubleshooting and problem resolution
Identifies and documents Microsoft 365 standards and tools and support processes
Identifies, monitors, and reports on key performance metrics
Leads the organization’s Microsoft 365 governance/steering committee
Maintains awareness of Microsoft 365 roadmap and releases
Maintains an awareness of Microsoft 365 third-party solutions
Serves as the organization’s expert in Microsoft 365 functionality and features
Supports user adoption strategy development, which may include training development and delivery
Leads the development and support of the Champions program for extended support of Microsoft 365 within the organization’s business units
Job Qualifications: Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science of equivalent field of study
7+ years of IT or consulting work experience is preferred
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 or Microsoft SharePoint or Exchange
ITIL certification is preferred but not required
Microsoft Service Adoption Specialist certification
Skills
Demonstrated experience in the deployment, management, adoption, and support of Microsoft 365
In depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft 365
Demonstrated experience leading an IT support team or support resources in a matrix organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently with minimal direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to manage multiple activities simultaneously
