JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Engineer will support the companys West Region Business Development efforts. As a key member of the sales solutions team, the SE provides technical sales support, consulting during the sales process, field support during installations, as well as interfacing directly with the customer for technical questions. Typical pre-sale activities include gathering, understanding, and analyzing customers business and technical requirements, then formulating responses for customer quotation. The SE is responsible for architecting solutions for customers as part of the proposal and sales process. The SE is a subject matter expert on the companys business model, value proposition and technical solutions.
Post sales activities include site walks for EV placement, technical responses to customer questions, and on the ground technical support including being willing to roll up your sleeves to work with the solution vendors for site restoration.
Responsibilities

Represent company on customer appointments as the subject matter expert for the companys technical solutions specifically and EV placement generally
Responsible for working with Business Development (BD) and Sales to develop customer proposals and business cases
Work closely with BD and Sales to drive company growth by identifying opportunities, presenting alternatives to solve prospect business needs and completing customers follow up actions
Responsible for developing solution specifications and feasibility assessments
Design and prepare all technical paperwork to the provisioning team for customer response
Qualifications:
5 years professional level technical/engineering experience
Strong interpersonal skills are essential
Candidates should have a college degree in an associated field (e.g. Business, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent technical experience
2+ years of industry experience in solutions development
Familiarity with EV concepts and solution design
Experience with EV edge device hardware a strong plus
Experienced in Wireless Networks Cellular, Wi-Fi, Mesh, etc.
