Small painting company looking for an experienced painter for interior/exterior, residential/light commercial. We mostly do higher end residential interior remodel work where quality and attention to detail is key. This is an hourly position, but you would be considered self-employed and 1099'd at the end of the year. This works out to your advantage if you keep good records and know how to make good use of the tax laws and take your deductions due you. I can teach you how to do that if you don't know. You must have your own reliable transportation, be clean cut and present well to homeowners. Having your own tools is a plus. Must be able to pass drug test and background check. Must have good sense of humor and work well with others. I'm looking for my next best guy, but I dread the process of wading through rough characters who don't really want to work and be a part of something bigger than themselves. Must be self-motivated, respectful of others, their kids, pets and valuables, and be trustworthy beyond compare. This is a unique opportunity to work in an amazing environment where hard work is rewarded. I have worked hard to establish this company into a reputable and well respected business that does not advertise, but is all word of mouth. This is my livelihood and how I feed my family, so I will not waste my time on someone looking to coast through a job and just get a paycheck. I have been doing this for a long time, so I know what is realistic to expect as far as quality and productivity. I'm fair and reasonable and always pay on time. I am intense to deal with on the uptake and will challenge you to see what you are made of, but this is so that I can quickly release you with honors and the ability to succeed and so that I don't have to babysit you. The pay rate is based on skill and trust level and can range from $15-$20/hour and up, and can and will, quickly be adjusted to reflect your value.
