Primary work location is Central Ohio with approximately 10% travel. Service training is included. Our office is located at 893 Eastwind Drive, Westerville, OH 43081
The Service Technician works together with the Service Coordinator to identify and resolve product issues at residential and commercial construction sites. Service Technicians utilize skills in carpentry, glass installation, window and door installation and hardware adjustment. Most service work will be replacing components damaged at customers’ job sites.
Primary responsibilities include:
1. Perform job-site inspections, service and repair damages to windows and doors, assess installation and create files of notes and photos of issues, evaluate our products on site, identify and resolve issues.
2. While at a job site, always be resourceful in adjusting and repairing products that have issues.
3. Collaborate with Service Coordinator, providing notes and photos of inspections, detailing failed, damaged or missing products or components.
4. Conduct project needs analysis to identify key objectives and build customer rapport; offer creative solutions. Communication, leadership and organizational competencies are required.
5. Maintain company vehicle cleanliness, organizing tools and a supply of parts.
Qualifications
1. Vocational degree or equivalent experience preferred, high school diploma and/or GED required.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to build rapport with clients required.
3. Demonstrable carpentry skills and knowledge of construction principles and practices preferred.
4. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office required.
