Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager, Production Control Manager will oversee the development, coordination and execution of a production schedule that is based on demonstrated capacity. This role will control production labeling and distribution as well as work cross functionally with other Operations departments to mitigate risk associated with equipment downtime, material shortages, personnel, and other misc. tasks associated with ensuring schedule execution.

• Balance daily master schedule downloads to plant with line capacity that supports successful production requirements
• Proactively identity, communicate and mitigate schedule adherence risk by working with cross functional teams
• Schedules, expedites, and coordinates the delivery and movement of critical material.
• Actively involved in decision making and communication with affiliated production plants as well as internal contact with management staff
• Leads a small staff in accordance with Associated Materials values and leadership behaviors to accomplish plant safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost targets

Qualifications

• Three (3+) plus years related experience in manufacturing and adhering to lean principles
• Operations leadership / supervision experience preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience in production, planning, scheduling and control
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail skill with strong organizational skills
• Good problem solving ability

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business and/or equivalent background with three plus years’ experience in manufacturing
