The Assistant Director supports the Center Director in the day to day operations of the center. You will provide support to children, families, and educators.
Daily Tasks Include
Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the center
Assist families with required forms: Licensing, Food Program, Medication, Grant Applications, Public Assistance
Answer phone and in person questions
Provide tours to prospective customers
Purchase supplies for classrooms and kitchen
Cover in classrooms as needed
Required Skills
Maintain composure under stressful situations
Project a professional demeanor at all times
General computer literacy and ability to learn new technology
Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
Ensure the highest level of customer service
Strong knowledge of child development
Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Education related field and several years of experience in the classroom.
