Responsibilities:
Manage and plan work for utility vegetation management around energized conductors
This position is primarily field-based; administrative tasks are required and will be performed remotely or in an office setting on a daily basis
Collect tree data for field surveys along electric utility lines
Manage efficient and effective workflow processes
Operate and maintain all field equipment
Contact and communicate with private landowners and land agencies on an regular basis
Interact with the public and coworkers in a professional manner
Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills
Performs other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors/Associates/Certificate in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Conservation, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Botany, Horticulture, Agricultural Science, or related field
Utility Vegetation Management Experience preferred
Ability to identify tree species as well as common invasive plant species
ISA Arborist Certification preferred
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently with good time management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
Positive attitude and commitment to quality are essential
Proficient in map navigation skills
Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software a plus
