We are a company named Scientific Laboratories and we are based in Florida. This position is for a mobile phlebotomist/specimen collector in the Springfield area. You would be going to a local drug and alcohol treatment center to draw the clients there. There are two parts to this position.
The first part of this position involves phlebotomy. The hours can slightly vary depending on how many draws there are in a day, but typically you would start around 6 or 7 AM. On average, you will have around 3 draws a day, which equates to about 2-3 hours of work. After collection, you would place the specimens in a cooler and ship it to us in Florida.
The second part of this position involves handling urinalysis specimens. The treatment center staff will handle collecting the UA’s from the clients. Your job will be to put the orders into the online system and then to package the specimens for shipping to the lab.
Pay is $120/day. This averages out to $15/hr if you work 8 hours per day. However, as I said before, this is a job where you're only working a few hours a day.
This job is better for those with experience in Phlebotomy. Because you are dealing with former addicts, they can be tough draws at times.
