Manufacturing Technician (Mfg. Tech) – Apprentice
Roles and Responsibilities:
General: The Mfg Tech’s primary role is supporting the manufacturing operations through an administrative role and performing hands on operating roles as requirements dictate. The position’s hours will typically match the hours for Manufacturing. The positions primary supervisor will be the Quality Manager. The position will be supervised by the Directory - Operations for all non-staff functions. The position is expected to balance time between the functions on a defined schedule.
Job Functions:
Staff Functions:
- Receiving and Relieving machine tooling in EstiTrack
- Receiving and Relieving component inventory items in EstiTrack
- Receiving and Relieving Bar Stock, Sheet Stock, and Tubing in EstiTrack
- Receiving and Relieving calibrated gauges in EstiTrack
- Assemble Mfg. Technical Information for Customer Approval Packages (Military – Primary)
- Prepare/Update Approved Mfg. Routers and Process Instructions/Procedures/Techniques
- Digitize Specifications and Operational Documents for Storage of Hard Copy Documents
- Review Operating Procedures for Updates and Modernization of Processes and Applied techniques
- Assist the Quality Manager on tasks as assigned
Machine Operations:
- Inspect Components
- Deburr Components
- Cutoff of Bar Stock
- EDM Operations
- As required fill-in as an Operator as Required
- Standardize the Documentation of Program Files
Storage, Retrieval, Documentation, and Naming
- Assist the Operations Lead - Machining on tasks as assigned
Tool Room Operations:
- As required Machinist Functions to build Tooling
- Standardize the Documentation and Storage of Tooling
Storage, Retrieval, Documentation, and Naming
- Assist the Operations Lead - Assembly on tasks as assigned
Assembly Operations:
- As required, General Laborer performing functions to build assemblies
Cut-off, Deburr, Size, Flare, Bead, Trim, Mark, Clean, etc….
- Standardize the Documentation and Storage of Tooling
Storage, Retrieval, Documentation, and Naming
- Assist the Operations Lead - Assembly on tasks as assigned
