Job Description

The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) is responsible for developing and executing the organization’s people strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic priorities; specifically in the areas of talent development, succession planning, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, and benefits.The CHRO provides strategic global HR leadership in partnership with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to continually make the business more agile and competent.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organizations long-term mission and goals; steward company culture, integrating Current’s Values into all people and business practices
  • Utilize solid understanding of business objectives and roles to appropriately shape the structure and talent alignment
  • Drive the overall talent agenda, ensuring rigor around succession planning, goal setting, performance development and management aligned to business priorities
  • Design and implement compensation, benefit, and retirement programs globally
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans
  • Manage and/or consolidate acquired businesses to achieve sales and cost synergy objectives
  • Maintain a pulse on changing government regulations or public policies and to ensure compliance
  • Implement digitization and automation to evolve the HR analytics competency
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience and at least five years of international HR experience/exposure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coaching, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, including restructuring and M&A
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, including tax laws
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Preferred:

  • MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)certification preferred
  • Understanding of immigration/ international assignments compliance
