Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Commercial FP&A Analyst that flourishes in a collaborative environment working with a global group. This role sits at the forefront of owning commercial analytics & topline metrics including orders, sales & backlog that are critical for gauging success and executing on our long-term business objectives. This position belongs in the FP&A group reporting into the Revenue & Margin Finance Leader. The position will work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer & staff. It includes annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, monthly closing related analytics & reporting centered around topline metrics including dynamic around the landscape of agents, distributors & regional performance. This role serves as a thought partner & enabler for multiple stakeholders within finance group as well as Commercial sales leaders. The roles and responsibilities

include

:

  • Ownership of building commercial annual plan working closely with Chief Revenue Office utilizing historical data & leveraging clarity around new commercial strategy & product initiatives - establish measurable slices of annual plan by regions, product lines, agents & distributors, channel & key accounts.
  • Ownership of monthly forecasting process for global sales along with proactively identifying and communicating any risks or opportunities in topline financial measurements to leadership
  • Budgeting, tracking & optimization of key financial metrics including rebates, special pricing agreements, concessions, other forms of discount for various customers & regions to drive sales & margin
  • Critical engagement on agent commission & distributor spending to help management understand investment & returns on leading customers
  • Aligning commercial forecasts with supply chain forecasts & understanding gaps to strengthen estimation process
  • Responsible for driving the team to deliver on stakeholder commitments through monthly closings, reporting on key performance indicators (commercial KPI) and various variance analysis.
  • Working closely with commercial team on distributor contracts & key account deals as needed supporting them with cost benefit analysis
  • Provide critical support to the commercial teams in business reviews, operation rhythm, and FP&A related interactions
  • Provide leadership on key initiatives and drive simplification efforts to facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial finance work experience including commercial analytics & reporting for both external agencies & internal management purposes, order & sales forecasting, measuring & optimizing investment around agencies/distributors.
  • Strong communication & ability to connect as the role involves liaising with multiple functional leaders across the organization
  • Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Business Intelligence tools & Onestream/Hyperion

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university or college preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP is desirable
