Job Description

The Finance Analyst - Supply Chain is responsible for managing distribution cost operations for our manufacturing locations and distribution centers and supports global supply chain accounting, reporting and internal controls.

This role partners with the Controller, FP&A, Tax and Supply Chain functional leaders, to ensure activity is properly accounted for, and appropriate controls are in place to ensure timely and accurate reporting across the financial statements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assistthe Operational Controller in leading all planning cycles including Op Plan, quarterly estimates, SII and QMIs for Distribution costs at manufacturing sites and distribution centers.
  • Perform closing activities, consolidation and review of transportation and other costs.
  • Drive reporting and analysis around transportation costs with clear understanding of distribution costs by category: inbound, outbound, warehousing and duties.
  • Build models and scorecards to track transportation costs by mode: air, ocean, truckload, etc.
  • Develop accurate models for inbound & outbound transportation costs; capturing costs per weight/lamp and clear understanding of quarter-end accruals.
  • Establish procedures to measure performance around duties and identify impact of new tariffs.
  • Work with Sourcing and Manufacturing teams to develop inventory cost standards around transportation costs.
  • Support, engage and develop key partnerships with Sourcing & Fulfilment teams to identify opportunities, operational risks and drive realization of cost-out projects, service excellence and cash improvement goals.
  • Consolidate and monitor Distribution updates and prepare Supply Chain estimates, risks, opportunities and action plans as needed.
  • Document all critical processes and reports by creating clear and easy to follow SOP’s.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in manufacturing operations and cost accounting

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated ability to work with substantial amounts of data and provide concise & clear analysis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP strongly desired
