The Front-End WordPress Designer/Developer will provide design, maintenance, and development support for digital media projects. This includes:

• WordPress designing for a developer using responsive design (creating mockups/schematics/site maps/flow charts for a developer as well as the editorial teams);
• Maintenance of existing WordPress website properties;
• Development of custom digital initiatives related to the websites, eNewsletters, digital magazines, and social media, focused on audience tracking and promotions;
• Providing periodic support of email initiatives as needed.

Job Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

• Maintain existing Babcox Media websites;
• Manage, maintain, and update all standard plugins on Babcox WordPress websites;
• Design and develop responsive website mockups and wireframes for development and editorial teams;
• Provide feedback and design input for new and existing web properties;
• Ensure that all site code and details are kept up to date and relevant;
• Develop and optimize forms and landing pages for client programs;
• By using various web-based tools, encourage website visitors to take actions such as signing up for a free eNewsletter, reading an extra article on the site, engaging with a special promotion, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in digital sciences and/or information technology or 2 years of related work experience;
• Responsive WordPress design, development, and maintenance, with solid working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3;
• Basic Adobe Photoshop skills;
• Experience with Gravity Forms and designing pages with Elementor a plus;
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers;
• Understanding of how to read and apply information from Google Analytics;
• Knowledge and understanding of web trends and digital marketing including web analytics and digital/social measurement, A/B testing, and audience tracking;
• Website troubleshoot/testing;
• Project management and organizational skills;
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format;
• Ability to build and maintain relationships;
• Team Player;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Possesses good working knowledge of SEO principles;
• Ability to grasp complex concepts and systems quickly.
