22623BRTitle:Alternative Energy Resource Coordinator - Coordinator PrincipalJob Description:Position Summary:Under minimal supervision, provide support to customers, contractors, and company personnel as appropriate to implement renewable energy resources programs for customer-sited projects. This could include, but is not limited to, managing program processes, coordination with other business unit functions on issues related to alternative energy resources, database management, and other general functions that may impact the programs. Coordinate projects and initiatives to support the strategy of the operating company to meet Alternative Energy Resources Portfolio Standards.Essential Job Functions:

Administer customer-sited renewable energy resources programs. Duties will include, but are not limited to, primary point of contact to address customer inquiries; secure appropriate agreements with customers; educate and train equipment installers, company employees, and other affected parties; oversee validation of customer system installations and the quantity of energy generated from them; enter customers generated energy information in GATS and ensure proper RECs are established; responsible for ensuring payments to customers per program terms; and prepare relative reports and provide input for Public Utility Commission of Ohio (PUCO) compliance reports.

Administer process for the interconnection of distributed generation facilities. Duties will include, but are not limited to, primary point of contact to address customer inquiries, process applications for interconnection and collection of any fees, responsible for oversight of other business units' related activities, maintain the Distributed Generation database, and prepare relative reports and provide input for PUCO compliance reports.

Responsible for ensuring proper application of Schedules COGEN/SPP, SBS, NEMS, NEMS-H, and all Renewable Energy Resources Tariffs and/or Riders. Provide assistance to Customer Services and others in properly administering contracts and related account maintenance activities relative to these schedules, tariffs, and riders.

Provide appropriate support in the strategic planning for meeting company Alternative Energy Resources Portfolio Standards.

As appropriate, assist with or coordinate requests for information, policy interpretation, and final recommendations/approvals through appropriate AEP departments.

Gather and share timely information in established and emerging renewable energy technologies and end-use applications.

Identify, develop, and coordinate necessary training for Customer Services, Customer Solutions Centers, and Distribution field personnel that are consistent with the goals and objectives associated with our Alternative Energy Resources strategy.

Assist with various initiatives including, but not limited to, safety, budget analysis, company policy interpretation / development / updates / distribution, customer complaint resolution, goal allocation, tariff interpretation, database management, metrics development / tracking, and technical calculations.
