Who You Are
You're a curious problem solver who can bring big ideas to life. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision. You also have:

  • Four year degree engineering is preferred, or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in product management
  • Knowledge of complex systems and the interconnectivity between mechanics, machine control and software
  • Experience in a manufacturing context, preferably in tooling & automation
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills
  • Proven work experience in a cross functional environment with successful results
What You'll Do
As part of the product management team, the Sr. Product Manager will be focused on automation technology and systems associated with the Global Tools & Automation business. The ideal candidate will have advanced manufacturing and industrial automation experience in the tools, equipment, and automation product category. The role is a part of a growing, global team and will work within the Global Tools & Automation business team to drive measurable results and improvements.
Specifically, you'll:
New Product Development:
  • Gathering product requirements and voice-of-customer, prioritizing feature implementations, evaluating competitive product / market and improving overall user experience
  • Analyze market trends, technologies and competition to position products
  • Business case development and return on investment calculations on projects
  • New product development gated processes and workflows
  • Technical and customer feedback on new product development and customer needs
  • Work with cross functional teams to manage product lifecycle
  • Product launch programs - internal, external and post-launch activities for effective and productive results
  • Act as a key representative of the business for the assigned product responsibility during development as the functional requirements are developed
Product / Project Management:
  • Translate technical details into applicable customer benefits
  • Effective prioritization of features that align with the best possible user and company value
  • Work with various teams (design, content, acquisition, product, sales) to implement growth strategies
  • Product portfolio strategies to prioritize and advocate for product line needs
  • Support marketing team with the creation of sales tools, content creation, and overall product marketing plan
  • Tracking of project initiatives and deliverables. Tracking and metrics to achieve results
