Location: Lewisburg, OH
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Network Operations Support Specialist
Network Operations Engineer - This position requires a diverse skill set in Network technologies and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting. Must have strong skills on Cisco Routers and Switches and be familiar with other Network technologies including load balancers, WiFi controllers, Proxies, Firewalls and VPN concentrators.
Will be a member of a geographically diverse team of Network Operations Engineers. Must have strong communication skills, a desire to continuously learn new technologies and a willingness to be a part of a 24x7 operations team.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Working the Network Operations ticket queue and handling inbound calls to the NOC
Working outage bridges as needed
Working with vendors to address hardware and software issues on supported equipment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Document troubleshooting and resolutions procedures
Provide peer training on new processes/methods as new solutions and designs emerge in our environment
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Certifications
BS degree in a related area or equivalent experience
Current CCNA strongly desired CCNP, CISSP, AWS certifications are a plus
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of applicable network experience in an enterprise environment
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with a focus on Cisco technology
Minimum of 3 years supporting Wide Area Network Circuits
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Strong analytical and communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to handle multiple open issues, working over the phone, messenger applications etc
Ability to work outage calls as needed
Understanding of telecommunications industry and evolving technologies
Ability to learn new technologies as they emerge on the market
At least 3 years of experience in a hands-on network role with a focus on Cisco technology (Strong understanding of
Cisco technology, including 1111, 2800, 3800, 6800, 7000-series. Experience with Cisco Nexus platform is a plus).
Proficiency with BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VLAN's, STP, and other networking protocols
Experience with circuit troubleshooting.
Experience supporting WiFi technologies
Experience supporting VPN technologies
Experience supporting load balancer technologies
