Haystack LLC is looking for a world class Field Service Engineer to join our clients team. This is a permanent opportunity in the Wapakoneta Ohio area.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction through installing, training, and effectively troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures on CNC and Tapping equipment. Must be able to program machines using G & M codes, read schematics and parts drawings, perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and be proficient with the use of other service devices (ex.multimeters). Must complete tasks in a timely manner and completely fill out reports. This person works directly with the Service Manager to execute work orders.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the installation and setup of CNC machines
Work directly with our customers to repair, program, and troubleshoot their control systems, specifically Delta Tau, Fanuc and Siemens
Calibrate, program, and troubleshoot machine controls
Work closely with manufacturing and engineering to get machines up and running to capacity
Communicate with managers to inform of situations that may impact production
Compile records of equipment and machinery information used on customer site
Assist in maintaining and monitoring inventory of spare parts for all machines to minimize downtime
Assist the Service Manager with preventive and predictive maintenance as needed
Work on all pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic components on CNC machinery
Required sklls:
BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree preferred)
Successful completion of a certification program at a Junior College or equivalent formal training in a related field with 10 years of service experience would be considered if no BA/BS degree.
Programming Logic Controllers (PLC), preferably Delta Tau, Fanuc, and Siemens
Experience with Renishaw laser scanner and ballbar system
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel 50% of the time including out of the United States
Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet customer project commitments
Strong electrical and hydraulic experience - Pneumatic experience is a plus Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
