Job Summary:
This position performs a variety of duties with the overall goal to support the Warehouse Operations. As a Shuttle Driver, this role consists of local vehicle operations involving positioning and moving product and materials between company locations (generally within a 50-mile radius). On occasion, the deliveries may require distances of up to 100 miles. This position will also be responsible for shipping and receiving raw materials and products to consistently maintain and promote corporate profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities: Ensuring correct quantities of product during receiving and placement. Consolidate inventory and products. Assisting in warehouse picking orders when schedule or time permits and perform any other functions related to position. Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and material. Perform “occasional” product deliveries within a radius of 100 miles or less. Record any discrepancies with shipments. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Change/adjust racks for new products, to make more room and for damage racks. Cycle counting of warehouse inventory. Take trucks and trailers in for upgrades or maintenance. Maintain all required certification required by DOT and OSHA and company safety. Preform other duties as assigned. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position o Semi-moderate to moderate physical activity. o Including but not limited to sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, and crouching. o Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Valid CDL license required. 50,000 of continuous safe driven miles required. 3 to 5 years of experience in related field preferred. Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving required.
