Job DescriptionResponsibilities:

Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, ISO audits and tracking logs

Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Own and drive recruiting and communication through all social media accounts.

Lead employee communication, engagement activities, and reward recognition programs.

Facilitate new hire orientation; including onboarding training schedule.

Performs routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR staff.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Promote use and associated benefits of HRIS systems, as well as maintenance of system for hourly employees (Kronos and Workday)

Facilitate Safety Committee and associated meetings. Ensure compliance with site and corporate safety program as well as federal/state occupational safety and health regulations. Collects and files EH&S related forms, records and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum three years’ experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.

Must have a working knowledge of EH&S in a manufacturing environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Demonstrated knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS system

Experience with safety committee facilitation

Experience in delivering training and development activities to large groups of people

Familiarity with worker's comp and administering safety programs
