Location: Milford, OH Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Center Technician
This job will have the following responsibilities:
A strong combination of data center infrastructure experience (underfloor power distribution, Rack PDUs, CRAC units, raised floor air distribution, Building Management Systems) racking/stacking IT equipment and configuring IP addresses on a variety of devices. Working under the direction of the Facilities Technical Services Manager, the technician will interact with Local Facilities Management Team, System Administrators, Contractors and Vendors. The technician will help install cabinet PDUs, and work with the network team to get devices connected to the LAN to enable monitoring via SNMP and Modbus protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Two or more years working in a critical environment such as a data center.
Understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including: Server Cabinet PDUs, Server Cabinet Redundant Power Sources and IT power supplies - Computer Room Air Conditioning Units - Backup Generators, UPS systems, automated transfer switches - Single and three-phase power at multiple Voltages: 208v, 120v, 480v, 277v - Electrical Single-line drawings - PDU distribution panels, overhead busways, underfloor circuits - Building monitoring/control systems
