The OEM product owner at Squirrels oversees the end-to-end strategy of our OEM licensed and embedded products. These products range from white-labeled software applications to custom, low-level library integrations powering screen sharing and collaboration in hundreds of thousands of hardware units sold annually. Our OEM customers are influential market leaders expecting innovation and timely results. You will be responsible for the roadmap of this vertical, advocating and pushing for new innovative features and solutions as well as timely maintenance updates. You need the ability to think of the big picture and blue sky about the direction and strategy of Squirrels OEM products while staying in touch with the day-to-day needs of customers. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the innovation and end-to-end launch of existing and new OEM products
  • Advocate for solutions to solve current and anticipated market needs
  • Collaborate with executives, the OEM product team and other stakeholders to strategize a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop, own and execute the OEM product roadmap
  • Distill feedback from current customers, monitor competitors and observe market environments to design compelling solutions and deliver solutions to problems
  • Work in an Agile environment to continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables and identify opportunities and risks
  • Translate high-level product roadmap features into well-defined, actionable product requirements including features, user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Work across teams and stakeholders including business intelligence, design, user experience, development, OEM channel partner and quality assurance
  • Turn data insight into shipping products with actionable outcomes to OEM customers
  • Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders
  • Lead each OEM products functional design process based on intimate knowledge of the users and technology
  • Work with the project manager to schedule and allocate resources and identify schedules and timelines for deliverables
  • Identify and assist with resolving internal deficiencies to allow better service to customers
  • Define and execute go-to-market plan, working to ensure that product, marketing and channel partner teams have what they need to be successful
  • Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree and 3 years of product or project development experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in product management and/or product development
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
  • Strong background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams
  • A high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development and understanding of Agile and software lifecycles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and inspire team members and stakeholders to drive collaboration and release amazing products
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Proactive, motivated, self-started with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, trade shows and other events

  • Previous experience or insight in the audio/visual hardware or collaboration software markets
