Inviting applications for the role of Sr. Google Cloud Platform Engineer
Location: Ohio
In this role, you will be responsible to develop, test, debug, document and help operationalize various applications leveraging industry best practices and participate in design activities leading to innovative solutions in meeting customer needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and document cloud solution architecture(s) including technical designs and diagrams.
• Design and deploy dynamically scalable and highly available services on Google Cloud platform.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions for distributed systems and applications.
• Implement cloud migration and cloud-native solutions.
• Design and implement automation pipelines for deployment into Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and deploy production systems in Google
• Technical Knowledge and Requirements
• Google Cloud Platform Cloud migration experience
• Work with an extremely talented team, building the foundation of support for Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge on Python and SQL
• Support Google Cloud Platform customers by monitoring & resolving critical and complex technical issues with global support delivery team.
• Support customers utilizing Google Cloud Platform and all associated services Automate infrastructure and develop tools and processes to improve the customer experience and reduce support toil.
• Own issues end-to-end working collaboratively with your team and peers Work with customers and other teams to troubleshoot customer environments to increase end user satisfaction.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field
• Minimum 10-12 yrs of IT experience, and 3-4 Years on Google Cloud Platform
• Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect with experience automating and orchestrating workloads on Google Cloud Platform or other Public Clouds.

• Designing, building, and operationalizing large-scale enterprise data solutions and applications using one or more of Google Cloud Platform data and analytics services like Cloud DataProc, Cloud Dataflow, BigTable, Cloud BigQuery, Cloud Functions, & Cloud Composer.
• Designing and implementing data transformation, ingestion, and curation functions on Google Cloud Platform cloud using Google Cloud Platform native like Google Storage, Cloud Data Fusion & Cloud pub-sub or custom programming
• Designing and building production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture, using Java, Python etc.
• Performing detail assessments of current state data platforms and creating an appropriate transition path to Google Cloud Platform cloud
• Analyzing, re-architecting and re-platforming on-premise data warehouses to data platforms on Google Cloud Platform cloud using Google Cloud Platform native or 3rd party services
• Optimizing data pipelines for performance and cost for large scale data lake
• Experience working at least one of the following languages: Python, Go Proficient with git and git workflows.
• Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker) to automate testing and deployment.
• Experience working in an Agile, fast paced, DevOps environment Knowledge (preferably experience) in building distributed, highly available applications or systems architectures Strong Linux skills.
• A working understanding of Load balancers and Load balancing methodology.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences.

• Working knowledge of Backup and Recovery methodology and implementations.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in implementing Google Cloud Platform solutions, programming & migrations
• Ability to handle pre-sales process management and execution
• Proficiency in Python or Go.

• Automation experience with at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, or other such Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform governance & networking technical details

• Experience working in a containerized environment (Docker/LXC) with Kubernetes exposure.
• One or more of the following certifications: Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Google Certified Professional Data Engineer.
• Relevant technical certifications in Google Compute Platform, Red Hat, MySQL, and other related technologies
