They are currently in need of a

Fire Maintenance Mechanic to join their team.

1st Shift

$16/hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and maintenance on:

• • Emergency vehicles & equipment inventories
  • SCBA’ s and breathing air compressors
  • Fire pumps and hydrants
  • Fire hose and appliances
  • Fixed fire suppression systems
  • Fire extinguishers

• Documentation and filing of inspections and maintenance
• Perform daily maintenance activities as needed
• Assist with administration of training sessions
• Assist in researching codes and standards
• Additional duties as assigned

Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited school
• Able to follow safe work procedures
• Able to lift 75 lbs
• Practical mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Able to work well with others
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines on multiple tasks

Considered a Plus:

• Previous experience with fire protection and emergency response equipment
• Experience with fire department or chemical plant operations

Working Conditions:

• Must be willing/able to work in a chemical plant environment
• Must be willing/able to occasionally work outdoors in inclement weather
• Ability to work overtime/weekends, as required
