This position is responsible for the safe transportation of residents and employees to and from the facility to pre-determined destinations.
This is a part time position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1.Operates the facility’s vehicles in a safe manner when transporting residents and
employees.
2.Assists residents and employees when boarding and disembarking the vehicles.
3. Ensures the residents’ and employees’ safe arrival to the pre-determined destinations.
4.Maintains route and mileage logs according to facility’s procedure.
5.Monitors routing vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fuel levels.
6. Reports any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the administrator immediately.
7.Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seatbelts, prior to moving the van.
8. Concerns his/herself with the safety of all residents in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents. Also, ensures that the facility adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire and sanitation codes by being familiar with his/her role in carrying out the center’s fire, safety and disaster plans and by being familiar with current MSDS.
1.High school diploma or equivalent.
2.Current valid state drivers license.

3.Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
4.Must have the ability to positively interact with staff, residents, family members, visitors,government agencies/personnel and the general public.
