- Recommend and install applications that will assist with monitoring of the network
- Install, configure and support data equipment/networks at branch offices and in back-office departments
- Schedule and perform IOS upgrades on network equipment
- Assign and maintain IP addressing scheme for the entire network
- Monitor, support and respond to alerts related to branch and back-office connectivity
- Support VOIP environment across the enterprise
- Experience with Cisco Call Manager preferred
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems
- Administrate departmental servers
- Configure network equipment and troubleshoot network issues during the annual Disaster Recovery testQualifications
- Associate degree in information technology or related field required OR commensurate experience is required
- Two (2) years experience in a network telecommunications environment, including technical experience with voice/data networks and systems, is required
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, outside vendors, technical and non-technical users
- Able to work periodic evenings and weekends
- Must have good documentation and analytical skills
- Must have a strong working knowledge of installing and maintaining telecommunications cable plants
- Experience with a variety of computer platforms and PC based applications
- Experience with mainframe applications (CICS and VTAM) preferred
- Experience with a variety of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP and SSH
- Knowledge of the Windows implementation of DHCP, DNS and Active Directory
- Knowledge of Linux, Unix and Microsoft preferred
- A vehicle and valid driver’s license is required
