Job Description - Healthcare, API Business Analyst - Remote
An ICS client is seeking a 100% remote, Business Analyst with recent healthcare and API experience.
This is a 6 month, contract to hire position.
Accountabilities:
Understand, gather and document API product requirements.
Elicit requirements using informational interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, use cases, scenarios, business or product analysis.
Write requirements using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
Decompose business requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail. Ensure necessary translation to User stories for consumption by 3rd party providers &/or technology orgs.
Define assumptions, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements. Represent requirements using alternative views, such as diagrams, prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate.
Respond to queries from technology &/or 3rd party partners.
Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements doc
Enter, manage and report on user stories in Jira, aligned to the the Sprint cadence.
Manage requirements traceability info and track requirements status throughout the project. Support UAT process with QA.
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience required. Relevant certifications a plus. 4-5 years or more years of experience in developing requirements and written documentation. Expertise in requirements definition techniques, tools and documenting business and functional requirements. Clear, concise, and actionable User stories authoring techniques.
Strong core technical business analysis skillset - process mapping, requirements elicitation and workshop facilitation, including tools that facilitate the process e.g. MS Office, Draw.io, Confluence
Experience in SOAP, RESTful API architecture and familiarity with Data formats - JSON & XML.
Familiar with healthcare vocabulary standards, FHIR R4 know-how, a big plus.
Experience using Visio, Jira, Confluence tool-set and strong know-how of Agile ceremonies.
Experience working with 3rd party providers.
Experience working with QA to support UAT process.
Self-starter experienced working independently and on a team.
Must be able to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Must have ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes.
